Training program in Jakarta/Manila Training Centre
All the Indonesian FDW undergoes a one month training in Jolly own training centre in Jakarta, Indonesia before their departure into Singapore. The syllabus covers all areas from:-
General House keeping skills
a) How to iron various types of materials using electric
irons.
b) How to wash vehicle, air conditioner, and electric fans.
c) How to use Vacuum cleaner for carpets, blinds, etc.
d) How to separate different types of materials for hand
wash and use of automatic washing machine.
Local Cooking skills
a) Basic cleaning of vegetables, fish, meat
b) Rice cooking using rice cooker.
c) Frying and steaming
d) Western and simple local dishes
e) Cleaning of kitchen utensils
Caring skills
a) Care in handling of baby and children
b) Care in handling of aged and bedridden
c) Care in handling of invalid / sick person
Language skills -
a) Learn basic vocabulary words in English
b) Learn common short phrases for every day communication.
c) Learn communication skill like responding to Employers
calls.
Cultural Preparation -
a) Completion of work in good time
b) Complete one chore before another
c) Initiative to maintain cleanliness
d) Initiative to maintain orderliness
